We are standing on the threshold of the 21st century. It
would be a century, which would qualitatively change the socio
-economic dimensions of life. Rapid technological advancements
and management techniques would not only pose the new challenges
to planners of tomorrow but will also help in finding solutions
to these problems to those problems. It would not be wrong to
say that the current age of economics and commerce. Globalization
and liberal market economy have opened new avenues of study and
academic discipline. The department of Commerce is fully aware
of these changes and keeps a motto of grooming the students of
the department to become effective, intelligent and dynamic managers
of tomorrow who are capable of meeting the challenges of business
administration, financial control and group dynamics.
As a department we are a confident team of teachers, highly qualified,
experienced and dedicated to the cause of quality education ---
education which is motivating and inspiring to the younger generations.
Few years back it was a department with two teachers and two sections,
whereas it has now become the most popular academic discipline
of Modern School. We are a team of six teachers and four sections
each in class 11th and 12th.
Students of commerce have diversified personalities and as such
are always found to excel in academics, co-curricular activities,
sports and other social awareness programs.
As a department we are open minded, conscious of behavioral changes
among the students, having a broad vision and goal-oriented approach
to the cause of socio-educational upliftment of the students whom
we teach or with whom we have the opportunity to interact.
Mr. S.C. Asthana was head of department till July 1988 and since
then Mr.K.I.Ahmed is Head of the commerce department.

These are the teachers whose valuable contribution,

and accountancy.
